A List Apart started an annual survey last year that looks into the working conditions of people who make websites. Nearly 33,000 people took part last year, and today they opened up the newest one.

Bridlewood Apartments
You’re getting used to seeing all the Resite Online stuff up here, right? Good, good. As usual for things posted here, I did most of the front end work (I think this was another one that was handed off to me because someone was busy, so I can’t claim it all), but the Flash and mocks were left to people better than me in the realm of graphic arts.

Stern-Hendy Properties, Inc
This is another Resite Online project including a custom theme on the CommunityWare backend. I believe I did all the front-end work on this one except for the Flash and the initial mocks. Mocks were created by Vince White.
Destiny Spirit Church
Another custom Wordpress theme, this time for Destiny Spirit Church out of Virginia Beach, Virginia. I did the XHTML, CSS, and any random PHP needed. Jen Young created the mocks and assisted with the site structure.
Northeast Ohio Apartment Association
This is another site done through my job with Resite Online. This particular site is a custom theme sitting on top of Drupal. My team’s first Drupal theme, so it was a unique challenge for us.
As with most the things on this site, my work included the CSS, XHTML, and Javascript. Yvonne Tran on the Resite graphics team handled the mocks.
Zaremba Management
This is a site I worked on through my job at Resite Online. My team didn’t start this project, but we did most of it excluding the initial site design. As for my specific tasks, I believe I am responsible for the xhtml and css on most of the corporate pages.
Virginia Church Guide
Here’s a site I created for the Virginia Church Guide a couple of years ago. I handled the css, xhtml, php, and database work for this project.
At some point I will get a portfolio put up. But until I decide how I want to work that, I may just make posts of things I’m working on or have done. To kick that off, this is my most recent project, done for a Realtor and REO Company in Virginia.
Cyndi Houser
Real Estate sites do not tend to be the most attractive, nor the most usable things on the web. In fact, most of them have a design from 1998 and are a nightmare of function. The Housers wanted to change all of that for their business.
Focusing on what is most important to their clients, finding property and getting in contact with the Housers, we have created a site that serves their clients’ needs, thus allowing the Housers to grow their business.
For this project, we created a Wordpress theme, backed up by a custom Wordpress plugin to manage the Houser’s property listings. Site mocks were created by Vince White.

I’m trying out a new theme and a return to an old site. I wiped all the old posts with the intent of making post only about web development here. I’m starting with a theme that I did not write, which bothers me, but not enough to not use it… at least for now. So settle in and we’ll see if I can manage to post more this time around.
